Introduction
GreenBit is the official companion app for GreenBit Technology mining hardware. The GreenBit app allows users to provision network credentials, view mining stats, and configure settings for their GreenBit Technology devices. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.

Data Storage and Sharing
The GreenBit app stores mining pool configuration data locally on the user’s device to retain device settings. Wi-Fi credentials are not stored within the GreenBit app. During the setup process, GreenBit Technology mining hardware securely receives and encrypts network credentials upon provisioning.
If a user configures their device to mine via ‘SOLO’ mining in the GreenBit app, their device will connect to a pre-configured mining pool owned and operated by a third party. Mining statistics and their inputted wallet address for rewards will be displayed here.
If a user configures their device to mine via ‘GROUP’ mining in the GreenBit app, their device will connect to a pre-configured mining pool owned and operated by a third party. Mining statistics and their inputted wallet address for rewards will be displayed here.
To ensure a seamless and hassle-free user experience, GreenBit operates its own Lightning Network node for receiving and distributing mining rewards over the Bitcoin Lightning network. Users who select the “GROUP” mining method and enter a compatible LNURL-Pay address will automatically receive their share of all mined block rewards according to worker data accessed through the mining pool’s public API. GreenBit Technology distributes these rewards automatically at no benefit to itself. Mining pool fees may apply.
User Rights
In order to mine on any mining pool, users will need to provide a wallet address, at a minimum, in order to receive rewards. For data handled by any mining pool, users should refer to their respective privacy policies and terms of use.
